It seems like no matter how advanced smartphones get, battery life is always a problem.
I am so sick and tired of constantly searching for outlets or carrying portable charges to make it through the day. Am I the only one?
Of course, apps, background processes, and constant notification drains our batteries. However, they are draining them way faster than I thought and it is a constant struggle.
How often do you struggle with keeping your phone charged? What tricks or habits have helped you extend your phone’s battery life?
Here are some tips that helped me:
- Using as little mobile data as possible. Wi-Fi actually consumes much less battery than mobile Internet
- Reducing the screen brightness, even slightly
- Minimizing the use of apps that require enabling geo/location services or other types of connectivity like Bluetooth
- Disabling keyboard sound and vibration
- Using dark mode across apps does indeed save your battery
Do you charge your phone more than twice a day? If so, maybe you’re using apps that drain your battery. If not, the battery might be old and need to be replaced with a new original one. I charge mine once a day. I mainly use WhatsApp and Instagram and also watch YouTube short videos. But if you’re on social media for hours, of course, you’ll need to charge it more often.
For my battery, the most killer factors were gaming, high-quality videos, and video editor apps. After realizing this, I started avoiding them.
But for better battery conditions, I recommend not charging your phone for 100% and never keep, especially older models, charging when it is already 100%.
My previous phone battery just swelled up like a pufferfish.
